With 120 rooms, 3 of which are suites, you’ll feel the comfort at every turn. Each room exudes Kentucky in every intricate detail. Romantic mood lighting in the suites makes it the perfect place to draw a bath, then wrap yourself in luxury with the provided waffle robes. Yes, robes. We simply love when hotel rooms have them for us to use!

Step out into the room and climb right into that large, cozy king bed, lights dimmed to create the perfect spot for unwinding. Stay up for a night cap and watch the twinkling lights of Lexington glistening outside from those large floor-to-ceiling windows.

Even out-of-towners will love this immaculate hotel. The prime location puts you right in the center of it all, making it possible to easily walk everywhere and shop Kentucky-proud shops all along the way. It’s an even better option to staying in the downtown hotels like the Hyatt, Hilton, or Marriott Griffin Gate because they don’t have this many shops or restaurants within walking distance.

You don’t have to go far to get something to eat while staying in the Origin Hotel. The on-site restaurant, 33 Staves, offers dining options for dinner, complete with the option to book the private dining room available for FREE for any event; that’s right, we said free. That’s a great option for groups where you can order apps, entrees, and get cocktails from the bar or just arrange one check for your group.

Unfortunately though, 33 Staves isn’t open for lunch. You can grab breakfast here from 7am to 10am Monday through Friday, brunch on Saturdays and Sundays only from 8am to 12pm, and dinner from 4pm to 10pm Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, it is open until 11pm for dinner.

When it comes to lunch, we recommend nearby Honeywood which features a hearty lunch menu. Start with some sweet potato beignets, a savory treat to share. The shrimp and grits is a southern staple, while the chicken salad sandwich is made the old-fashioned way, making for a light and refreshing meal. Hearty appetites will love the French dip, though don’t forget the bespoke cocktails to go along with your meal. You can also enjoy bourbon tastings with your meal for a true Kentucky feel.

While you can hang at the hotel for dinner at 33 Staves, there aren’t tons of options on the menu. If it’s something simple you’re after or a quick bite to nibble on with one of their amazing cocktails, then go for it. However, we recommend you explore dinner options at one of the nearby restaurants you can walk to, perhaps after imbibing on one of their many innovative drink offerings. The ambience is certainly well-suited for that.

All in all, staying at the Origin Hotel is as fun for locals that perhaps need a night or two away from the kids to rekindle romance as it is for those coming from afar. It offers a sublime setting with everything you need to make your escape perfect.
